Chase Druffel's RBI single in the bottom of the
sixth
inning broke a 3-3 tie and lifted the Wildcats to a 4-3 win over Touchet at
Parker Field.
The win sends the Wildcats into Saturday's Class 1B
championship game at 4 p.m.
Colton jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second. With
the bases loaded, Nate Jacobs had an RBI single to advance the runners a
base. Nick Heitstuman followed with a walk to plate the second run and
Andrew Tietjen's sacrifice
provided the final tally.
The Indians chipped away with a run in the fourth
and then tied the game in the top of the sixth with Gustavo Rodriguez's RBI
groundout and Joey Haggberg's bunt single that scored Justin Richards, who
had doubled earlier
in the inning.
After Druffel's heroics, Colton's Nick Heitstuman
retired Touchet in order in the top of the seventh to end the game.
