DeSales to
meet Adna for Class 2B title

DeSALES 5, NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN 3: Marcus Fazzari
scattered six hits and struck out 15 as the DeSales Irish (21-4) earned a
shot at their 16th state title.
Fazzari, a senior pitcher-shortstop, didn't allow an
earned run and also went 2-for-4. Bryce Hayunga was 3-for-3 with two runs
batted in and Pat Richard added two hits.
A DeSales championship would be the school's eighth
in the past nine years.

ADNA 22, ASOTIN 3: Adna's six-run first inning and 15-run fourth
helped the Pirates cruise into the state title game.
Brandon Williams went 4-for-5 with two home runs and
five RBI and Tyson Stephens hit a grand slam to lead Adna (21-3). Roby
Haycock went the distance on the mound for the Pirates, striking out 10 and
giving up only four hits.
Asotin (18-6) scored its last two runs in the top of
the second inning.
