Cedarcrest outslugs Pullman 16-1 in Class 2A consolation

Left-hander Kyle Olson struck out 12, and Cedarcrest erupted for 13 runs in the final three innings en route to a 16-1 win over Pullman and third place in the Class 2A state baseball tournament.

Dakota Bunce hit a grand slam off the left-field scoreboard in the seventh and Craig Chittenden hit a three-run homer just to the right of the scoreboard in the fifth as the Redwolves cruised.

Bunce finished 3-for-4, and teammate Cameron Padron was 3-for-3. Chittenden finished with five RBIs, and Matt Colton also drove in two runs.

Olson struck out six straight in the first through third innings and had a no-hitter until Cody Weber singled in the sixth.
