   Kettle Falls Routs Orcas Island

YAKIMA HERALD-REPUBLIC

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Brad Fredrickson led four Kettle Falls players in double figures with a game-high 19 points as the third-ranked Bulldogs eliminated Orcas Island 67-39 from the Class 1A boys state tournament Friday.

Fredrickson made 8 of 14 shots, including 3 of 4 3-point attempts. He also had two steals and three assists.

Cody Slater scored 14 points and Gabe Aubertin and Greg Mace each added 11 for the Bulldogs, who improved to 23-7 and earned a spot in Saturday’s 10:30 a.m. game for fifth and eighth places against Bellevue Christian.

Arlen Plaister led Orcas Island with 14 points, including three 3-pointers. But the Vikings shot miserably from the field, converting only 28.6 percent (14 of 49) of their attempts.

Mace led all rebounders with 10 as Kettle Falls outrebounded Orcas Island 43-25.

Orcas Island finished its season at 16-11.
