   Hot-Shooting Napavine Wins, 48-33

YAKIMA HERALD-REPUBLIC

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Three Napavine players combined for three-quarters of their team’s points as the No. 6 Tigers beat Charles Wright 48-33 on Wednesday in the first round of the Class 1A boys state tournament.

Michael Godsey, Tyson Sturza and Brandon Hieronymus each scored 12 points for the Tigers (21-3), who shot a blistering 63.6 percent (21 of 33) from the field in the game. Godsey made five of six shots, including two of three 3-point tries, Sturza converted six of nine attempts, and Hieronymus made six of seven.

Hieronymus also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds and added seven steals, two assists and a blocked shot.

Greg Beeman scored 13 points for Charles Wright (18-7), which was making its state-tournament debut.
