YAKIMA, Wash. -- Daniel Downs poured in a game-high 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting as seventh-ranked Bellevue Christian topped North Beach 73-40 at the Class 1A boys state tournament on Thursday.

Downs hit three of five 3-point attempts for the Vikings (17-10). He also had four steals, two assists and three rebounds.

Teammate John Baranowski added 16 points, and Bryan Dean hauled in a game-high nine rebounds as BC built a 42-21 halftime lead.

The Vikings finished with a 33-24 rebounding advantage over North Beach.

Peter Fry scored 11 points and Thad Vinson 10 for North Beach, which ended its season at 14-12. Kavin Williams had six rebounds.
