YAKIMA, Wash. -- Sisters Lisa and Lauren Coate combined for 46 points to lead third-ranked Archbishop Murphy past Burbank 65-62 Friday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Lisa Coate scored a game-high 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds. She also had two assists and a steal. Lauren Coate chipped in 20 points.

Burbank led by 12 (47-35) midway through the third quarter before ABM went on a 10-2 run to end the quarter and an 11-0 run, sparked by the Coates, to open the fourth.

Nicole Woods scored 19 points and Whitney Idler added 15 for Burbank, which ended its season at 13-14. Katie Turner had seven points and six rebounds.

The Coyotes’ defense came away with 12 steals, including four from Woods. ABM committed 23 turnovers.

The Wildcats (23-3) will meet Coupeville at 9 a.m. Saturday for fifth and eighth places.
