YAKIMA, Wash. -- Jeri Hedlund scored 15 points and Krissy Call added 14 to lead fourth-ranked Tonasket to a 62-18 semifinal victory over Onalaska in a Class 1A girls state semifinal game Friday.

Tonasket, which will meet Brewster in Saturday’s 7 p.m. championship game, rolled to a 34-10 halftime lead to improve to 23-4.

Hedlund hit 7 of 8 shots, while Call made 7 of 9.

The Tigers’ stingy defense came up with 17 steals and helped force Onalaska into 24 turnovers. Tonasket turned those miscues into 24 points.

The Loggers, who fell to 19-8, were led by Alida Bower’s seven points.

Onalaska will face King’s at 3:30 p.m. in the game for third and sixth places.
