YAKIMA, Wash. -- Rachel Strand led four King’s players in double figures as the Knights defeated Onalaska 61-35 Saturday for third place in the Class 1A girls state tournament in the Yakima Valley SunDome.

Strand made 6 of 8 shots, including two 3-pointers. Christina Wikstrom added 14 points, Jen Galliher had 13 and Hayley Zevenbergen scored 10. Strand also had seven rebounds.

King’s shot 50 percent (23 of 46) from the field to Onalaska’s 26.5 percent (13 of 49).

Alida Bower paced the Loggers with 23 points, including five 3-pointers. She also had a team-high five rebounds.

The Knights finished with a 23-4 record. Onalaska, which placed sixth, ended at 19-9.
