   Brewster Rallies Back for Win

YAKIMA HERALD-REPUBLIC

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Jeni Boesel scored a game-high 26 points to lead second-ranked Brewster past No. 9 Coupeville 52-44 on Wednesday at the Class 1A girls state basketball tournament.

Coupeville pulled out to a 29-24 halftime lead, but the Bears climbed ahead with a 12-3 run in the third quarter and never trailed again.

Boesel and teammate Kaylan Crane, who scored 16 points, combined for a 14-for-38 shooting effort from the field for the Bears (22-4). Boesel converted just one of 10 3-point attempts, but Crane made three of her six tries.

Coupeville (18-7) outrebounded Brewster 46-34. Carly Guillory and Amy Mouw each had eight rebounds.

Mouw and Brianne King led the Wolves with 10 points each.
