YAKIMA, Wash. -- Tiffany Corigliano scored 15 points to lead Lakeside to a fifth-place finish in the Class 2A girls state tournament with a 39-23 win over Ephrata on Saturday.

Corigliano scored seven points and Megan Griner six during a 15-2 Lakeside third-quarter run that put the Eagles up by 23, 33-10, after three periods.

Corigliano made 7 of 9 shots and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds, including six offensive boards.

Lakeside ended its season at 22-4, while Ephrata finished eighth at 14-13.

Traci Mickle led the Tigers with seven points, and Tiffany Moncrief had seven rebounds. Ephrata shot only 21.1 percent (8 of 38) in the game, including hitting just 3 of 18 shots in the first half.
