Winlock Rolls Into
Trophy Round
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Cody Rouse poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Winlock
to a 51-40 victory over Life Christian on Friday in the Class 1A boys state
tournament.
With the win, the Cardinals (18-9) advance to
Saturday’s 9 a.m. game against either White Pass or Onalaska to play for
fifth and eighth places.
Rouse scored 14 points in the second half as Winlock
managed to keep a comfortable lead over the Eagles (19-11). Life Christian
never got closer than seven points in the second half.
Kevin Hauschild added 14 points and Ben Prigmore 10 for
the Cardinals.
Trevor Nelson led Life Christian with 11 points.
