Wallace, a 6-foot-8 junior center, scored 19 in the
second half, making 6 of 8 field goals and 7 of 8 free throws. He also
pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds and had three steals.
Toledo (22-6) held a 26-21 halftime lead before blowing
the game open with a 21-12 run in the final quarter. Wallace had 13 points
in the final period.
"We got it to where they had to go one-on-one on him,"
Toledo coach Scott Merzoian said. "When you get the lead, teams have to play
him straight up.
"He's such a good passer that if they collapse on him,
he'll get it to the right man."
Nathan Eutsler added 10 points and nine rebounds for
the Indians.
Mike Ferris led UP (23-5) with 17 points, and made 4 of
6 3-point attempts.
