Freeman Rolls Past
White Pass
YAKIMA, Wash. -- John Dresback poured in 17 points and Kevin Hatch scored
all 11 of his points in the second half as Freeman rallied from a slow start
to beat White Pass 59-45 in the Class 1A boys state tournament Wednesday.
The Scotties (18-11) used a 20-point second quarter to
erase a 14-6 deficit after the first period. Freeman shot 51.4 percent for
the game (18 of 35), including converting 61.5 percent (8 of 13) of its
shots in the second half. Dresback made 8 of 15 shots.
Anthony Moss scored 14 points for White Pass (16-8),
and Kory Hamre and Koda Noblitt added 12 each.
Freeman made 22 of 33 free-throw tries in the game,
including 16 of 23 in the second half. Seven of Hatch’s points came from the
free-throw line.
