Smith Paces Burbank Victory
 
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Shana Smith scored 10 of her game-high 21 points in Columbia’s 28-point fourth quarter as the Coyotes eliminated Toledo, 69-47, from the Class 1A girls state tournament on Friday.

Leading by four after three quarters, Columbia blew the game open in the fourth, outscoring Toledo 28-10.
Smith made 9 of 12 field goals, mostly from inside.

Smith and teammate Hayley Clemmens each pulled down 11 rebounds as the Coyotes outboarded Toledo 46-39. Clemmens also blocked four shots.

Columbia improved to 21-6 and will play for fourth place at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Mandy Wallace paced Toledo (17-10) with 11 points, and Rachel Wallace and Amy Layton each scored 10.

Wallace had a game-high 15 rebounds.
