King's Pulls Away for Fourth, 55-44

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Sara Mosiman and Caitlyn Faidley combined for 40 of their team’s points to lead King’s to fourth place in the Class 1A girls state tournament with a 55-44 win over Burbank on Saturday.

Mosiman scored a game-high 23 points, including 14 in the second half, and Faidley added 17 on 7-of-11 shooting for the Knights (23-5).

"Mo's done that all year," King's coach Eric Rasmussen said. "She's been the catalyst and she makes us better."

"She stuck a huge 3-pointer for us in the third quarter. That really got us going."

Hayley Clemmens paced Burbank (21-7) with nine points, and Katie Turner had 10 rebounds.

"We wanted to stop them in transition because they have such good team speed," he said. "We wanted to not let them have any easy buckets."
