LaCenter Moves Into Semis, 42-33

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Brittney Roggenkamp scored a game-high 20 points as LaCenter beat Connell 42-33 Thursday in a Class 2A girls state tournament quarterfinal game.

Tanya Baker added 11 points for the Wildcats (24-1), who built a 12-point lead twice in the second half but never could fully shake the Eagles (21-4).

The Wildcats made just 32.7 percent (16 of 49) of their shots, but Connell’s touch was worse, making just 23.8 percent (10 of 42) for the game.
