Jeffrey Downs poured in 30 points as top-ranked Bellevue Christian stormed past Napavine 74-38 on Thursday in a Class 1A boys state tournament quarterfinal game.

Downs racked up 18 points in the first half as the Vikings (22-2) pulled out to a 36-25 advantage. BC then used a 22-7 third-quarter run, including nine by Downs, to put the game away.

Downs made 11 of 15 shots and was 4-for-5 on treys. He added 10 rebounds, four assists, a block, two steals and only had one turnovers.

The Vikings converted 51.1 percent (24 of 47) of their shots in the game to 21.7 percent (10 of 46) for the Tigers.
