Indians stop Braves 

Wallace scores 31 to lead 53-31 Toledo win

Artem Wallace scored 31 points to lead fourth-ranked Toledo to a 53-31 consolation-round win over LaConner on Friday at the Class 1A boys state tournament.

Wallace made 13 of 19 shots, including 8 of 11 in the first half as the Indians used a 16-4 second quarter to take a 26-12 halftime lead. He also had a game-high 12 rebounds.

Toledo improved to 22-4 and will play for fourth place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. LaConner, which never got closer than 13 points in the second half, finished its season at 20-5.

Luke Keel led the Braves with seven points, and Dane Hulbert and Jake Roth each added six.

Toledo shot 52.6 percent (20 of 38) from the field, while the Braves made just 23.9 percent (11 of 46) of their shots.
