Tigers cruise, 64-48 

Bluhm dominates for Napavine with 19 points

Loren Bluhm led three Napavine players in double figures as the third-ranked Tigers beat Oroville 64-48 in the first round of the Class 1A boys state tournament on Wednesday.

Bluhm poured in 19 points, including 12 in the second half, while Tyson Sturza added 17 and Jake Werner 14.

Sturza scored 13 in the first half as Napavine built a 31-22 halftime advantage.

Dustin Davis scored 18 points to lead Oroville (16-9), and teammate Shane Martin had 10.

The Tigers (20-4) dominated the boards, outrebounding Oroville 35-18. Bluhm had a game-high 15 rebounds. He added four assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

Napavine shot 52.4 percent (22 of 42) for the game to Oroville’s 34 percent (16 of 47).
