Napavine holds on
Kaut
paces No. 2 Tigers with nine points

Mary Winslow hit a 3-pointer with 5:38 to play to
put Napavine ahead to stay as the second-ranked Tigers held off Life
Christian 41-32 in the first round of the Class 1A girls state
tournament Wednesday.
Trisha Kaut paced the Tigers (23-1) with nine
points, including eight in the second half and three in a 7-0 run that
put Napavine safely ahead in the final minutes.
Winslow finished with eight points, and Brooke
Diehl had a game-high nine rebounds.
Haley Foss led Life Christian (10-13) with 11
points and Jamie Scott added nine.
