Liberty Bell advances to semis
YAKIMA HERALD-REPUBLIC
Kelsey Bourn hit a putback with 30 seconds to play
to push her team ahead for good as fourth-ranked Liberty Bell beat
Columbia of Burbank 47-44 Thursday in a Class 1A girls quarterfinal
game.
Katie McCurry added a layup 12 seconds later to
secure the win for the Mountain Lions (20-7), who will meet top-ranked
Freeman at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
Bourn scored a game-high 15 points and McCurry
added 14. Bourn also had a team-high seven rebounds.
Lauren Rada led third-ranked Columbia (22-3) with
14 points, while teammates Hayley Clemmens and Shana Smith had 13 and
12, respectively. Clemmens pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
