Katie Carns poured in 30 points to lead second-ranked Napavine to a 59-52 victory over Libery Bell and third place in the Class 1A girls state tournament on Saturday.

Carns made 10 of 20 shots, including 3 of 4 3-point tries, and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. Teammate Trisha Kaut added 12 points for the Tigers, who finished their season at 25-2 and captured their second third-place trophy.

LB trailed 32-23 at the half, but rallied back to cut the margin to three points on two occasions in the fourth quarter, the last time 49-46 with 2:22 to play. But Napavine reeled off the next seven points to pull safely ahdead to stay.
