Amy Marchand scored 14 points, and Lake Roosevelt used a big scoring surge in the middle of the game to beat Warden 48-34 Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

The Raiders (18-6) outscored the Cougars 35-17 in the middle quarters and led 42-24 after three quarters.

Rhonda St. Pierre, Lachelle Ives and Jessica Loe each added eight points for Lake Roosevelt. Loe pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds and blocked six shots.

Loe helped power LR’s rebounding edge. The Raiders outboarded Warden 51-44, and had 20 offensive rebounds.
