Whitney Idler and Shana Smith each scored 14 points as third-ranked Columbia of Burbank easily downed Cascade Christian 64-31 in the Class 1A girls state tournament on Wednesday.

Idler scored 11 of her points in the first half as the Coyotes (22-2) built a 31-20 halftime lead. The Cougars (17-7) never got any closer.

Columbia converted 46 percent (29 of 63) of it shots. Idler made 5 of 13, including 4 of 9 3-point tries. Cascade Christian shot just 24.5 percent (12 of 49), including just 5 of 25 in the second half.

Holly Behrends paced the Cougars with eight points, and Kelsey Sutherland added seven.

Hayley Clemmens pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds for the Coyotes, which outboarded CC 47-35.
