Junior Kyle Coston scored a game-high 20 points to lead third-ranked Lynden Christian to a 55-38 win over Castle Rock on Friday in the consolation bracket of the Class 2A boys state tournament.

Coston made 6 of 13 shots, including 2 of 5 3-point tries, as the Lyncs improved to 20-6 and advanced to Saturday’s 10:30 a.m. game against Forks for fifth and eighth places.

Jason Kooi and Kevin Burgers added 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Lyncs, who scored the first 10 points of the second half to take control.

Aaron Gehring and James Gehring scored 11 points each for the Rockets, who finished the year at 21-5. James Gehring also had a game-high 11 rebounds.
