Schang's 16 leads
Woodland to win 

YAKIMA HERALD-REPUBLIC

Destiny Schang scored 16 points in an all-around strong performance to lead sixth-ranked Woodland past La Center 66-33 in the Class 2A girls state tournament Thursday.

Schang made 6 of 12 shots, including 3 of 7 treys, and had two rebounds, five assists, four steals and no turnovers.

Woodland (19-6) used a 23-12 second-quarter run to take a 35-21 halftime lead, and La Center never got closer.

Brittney Roggenkamp scored 14 points for La Center, which ended its year at 20-5.
