Kristin Schramm scored 16 points to lead fifth-ranked Chelan over Mount Baker, 52-41, in a Class 2A girls quarterfinal game Thursday.

Schramm scored seven of her eight first-half points in the second quarter, when the Goats used a 13-5 run to take a 25-17 halftime lead.

Mount Baker managed to trim Chelan’s lead to three, 36-33, with 6:03 to play in the game, before Cassy Pilkinton scored 9 of her 10 points down the stretch to help keep the Mountaineers at bay.

Erika Hanson added 14 points for Chelan (22-3), which will meet Chewelah at 4 p.m. Friday in the first of two semifinal games.

Jacki Phillips and Stephani Kier led Mount Baker (15-10) with 11 points each. Kier also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.
