Jake Haworth scored 15 of his game-high 25 points in the second half to power Burbank past Cedar Park Christian 66-52 on Thursday in the Class 1A boys state tournament.

Haworth made 10 of 13 shots and scored six of his team’s final eight points at the end of the third quarter after Cedar Park had climbed to 37-33.

Teammate Michael Shelton added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Coyotes, who improved to 11-15. Haworth also had seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal.

Jon Ramos scored 19 points to lead the Eagles, who finished at 14-9. Daniel Raschick added 10.
