Michael Taylor score a game-high 20 points to lead top-ranked Brewster past Freeman 72-30 in a Class 1A boys quarterfinal game Thursday.

The victory sends the Bears (23-1) into Friday’s 4 p.m. semifinal against either Zillah or Overlake.

The Bears controlled the game from the outset, with Taylor scoring 11 points in the first quarter. Freeman never got closer than 10 points the rest of the game.

Wade Gebbers added 12 points, and Clay Gebbers and Rocky Gipson chipped in 11 each for the Bears. Taylor pulled down seven rebounds and Gipson had six.

Michael Wittwer paced Freeman (15-11) with seven points.
