Mirielle Pixton scored 15 points to lead Warden past cold-shooting Seattle Christian 44-29 on Thursday in the consolation bracket of the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Pixton had 11 points in the first half. Teammate Dana Bates added eight points and 11 rebounds, and Ashton Stott also pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Cougars (14-12) turned the ball over 21 times to SC’s 12, but the Warriors shot an icy 18.5 percent (10 of 54) from the floor for the game, including making just six of 28 tries from 3-point range.

Tianna Homad scored 10 points for Seattle Christian, which ended its year at 11-13.
