Jade Langston sank a jumper with 14 seconds remaining to lift Seattle Academy to a 44-43 consolation victory over Overlake on Thursday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Langston, who shared team-high scoring honors with Chloe Jourdan with 11 each, scored nine of her points in the second half as the Cardinals slowly chipped away at a 11-point deficit early in the second half.

A final 3-point attempt by Overlake was off the mark as the final buzzer sounded.

Lexi Barker paced Overlake with 20 points and Alyson Peters added 12. Hilary Barker had a game-high nine rebounds.

Seattle Academy improved to 18-7, while Overlake finished its year at 16-11.
