Lauren Rada scored a game-high 22 points and Brianna Smith added 15 as 10th-ranked Burbank beat Warden 49-39 for fifth place in the Class 1A girls state tournament Saturday.

It was the fourth time this season the Coyotes, who finished the season at 21-7, beat the Cougars (15-13).

Rada made 8 of 17 field goals, including 3 of 7 3-point attempts. She also had nine rebounds, three assists and four steals. Smith made 6 of 15 shots, including 3 of 10 treys.

Mirielle Pixton paced Warden with 11 points, and teammate Dana Bates hauled in a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Coyotes’ trophy was the sixth in team history; Warden earned its third trophy.
