Breanna Moody scored 19 points as top-ranked White Pass held off pesky Warden 64-56 on Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Moody scored 17 of her points in the first half on 8-of-12 shooting, but made just one of two shots in the second half. Kristen Andrews added seven of her 16 points in the final two quarters, and Kendra Redmon chipped in six of her 12 in the second half.

Warden, which slipped to 13-12, tied the game three times early, but then trailed the rest of the way. White Pass build leads of 12 and 11 points in the second half, but each time Warden rallied back, though the Cougars never got closer than six points.

Warden’s Dana Bates led all scorers with 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting. She also had a game-high 14 rebounds.
