Toledo rallies back to stun Seattle Chr.  

Boone scores 10 of 17 during 4th-quarter run

Katie Boone scored 10 of her game-high 17 points in the fourth quarter as Toledo rallied from a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit to knock off Seattle Christian 47-43 in the Class 1A girls state tournament Wednesday.

Boone scored the Indians’ first seven points of the final quarter to spark the run. Alicia Growden, who finished with 10 points, added seven in the final period. She knotted the score with a field goal with 4:53 to play, then pushed Toledo ahead for the first time since the first quarter with a free throw at the 4:47 mark.

Growden pushed the lead to six (42-36) just over a minute later, and Seattle Christian never got closer than two points the rest of the way.

Rachel Wallace added 10 points for Toledo
(17-8).

Melissa Collier scored 12 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead Seattle Christian (11-12).
