Jordan Justus’ layup with 32 seconds left pushed Forks ahead for good as the Spartans edged Lakeside 35-32 on Friday in the Class 2A boys state consolation bracket.

Justus’ shot came seconds after Lakeside’s Jason Reeder canned a 3-pointer that gave the Eagles their first lead since the second quarter. Justus sealed the win with a pair of free throws with four seconds left.

The victory sends the Spartans (21-5) into Saturday’s 9 a.m. contest for fifth and eighth places. Lakeside finished its season at 16-9.

Dustin Daniels and Dallas Huggins led Forks with 12 points each. Justus had seven.

Joel Noland scored 11 to lead the Eagles, who made just 25.6 percent (10 of 39) of their shots in the game.
