Joel Noland scored a game-high 18 points Thursday as Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) ousted Steilacoom 56-31 from the Class 2A boys state tournament on Thursday.

Noland made 6 of 10 shots, including 2 of 4 3-pointers for the Eagles, who improved to 16-8. Teammate Travis Corigliano added 15 points and seven rebounds, and Garrett Perkins pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Perkins also grabbed four of Lakeside’s nine steals, as the Eagles helped force Steilacoom into 15 turnovers. Lakeside turned those turnovers into 25 points.

Wayne Orona scored eight points to lead the Sentinels (17-10), who never led in the game.
