Dani Carlman poured in 19 points to lead Eatonville past Cashmere 68-44 in consolation play Thursday at the Class 2A girls state tournament.

Richelle Heacock added 13 points as the Cruisers outscored Cashmere 38-20 in the second half to pull away.

Eatonville also dominated the backboards, 52-38. Sarah Painter pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and Stephanie Stead grabbed 11.

The teams traded the lead 11 times in the first half, but the Cruisers pulled ahead by six, 30-24, at intermission and Cashmere never got closer.

Brittany Ingham led Cashmere with 15 points and Christina Thompson snared 10 rebounds.

Eatonville improved to 23-3. The Bulldogs ended their year at 12-14.
