Kristin Berendsen scored a team-high 16 points as Lynden Christian rolled to a 51-37 Class 2A girls state quarterfinal victory over Ridgefield on Thursday.

Berendsen, who left a Wednesday game with a rolled ankle, showed no ill effects Thursday: She made 8 of 10 shots, grabbed seven rebounds and added an assist and a steal. Brianne Ryan added 13 points for the Lyncs.

The win sends the Lyncs (23-2) into Friday’s 9 p.m. semifinal against East Valley (Yakima).

Lauren Hefflin led the Spudders (14-11) with 20 points, but she got little help. Ridgefield also committed 21 turnovers, which LC turned into 17 points.
