Brittney Roggenkamp poured in 29 points as La Center rolled past Forks 66-35 Friday in a Class 2A girls state consolation game.

The victory sends the Wildcats (19-7) into Saturday’s 10:30 a.m. game for fifth and eighth places. Forks ended its year at 17-9.

Roggenkamp scored 16 of her points in the first half, when La Center built a 37-15 halftime lead. She made 11 of 20 shots, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Teammate Brooke Burns added 13 points, and Jessie Mansell pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Alexa Justus had 13 points and Madison Justus 11 for the Spartans, but Forks turned the ball over 25 times. La Center turned those miscues into 29 points.

The Wildcats also came away with 17 steals, including six from Burns and five from Brooke Gaston.
