past Lakeside, 50-45
Greenlead sinks 11 points for Beavers
TOURNEYTOWN.COM
Natile Trice keyed a 14-1 Woodland run in the fourth quarter as the
Beavers rallied back to beat Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 50-45 on
Wednesday in the Class 2A girls state tournament.
Trice scored five of her nine points during that swing, when Woodland
turned a 40-31 deficit with 7:25 to play in the game into a 45-41 lead
less than five minutes later. Megan Peabody added four points during
that stretch.
Courtney Greenleaf led the Beavers (23-1) with 11 points and shared
team-high rebounding honors with Trice with six each.
Lakeside’s Kelsey Stillar led all scorers with 16 points, but had just
seven after halftime.
Teammate Kelli Tikker pulled down 10 rebounds for the Eagles (17-7), who
outrebounded Woodland 44-37.
