Brianne Ryan scored 12 points and Jenna Reed added 10 as Lynden Christian beat Cashmere 48-31 Wednesday in the Class 2A girls state tournament.

The Lyncs (22-2) rolled up a 29-13 halftime lead and were never challenged in the second half.

But star Kristin Berendsen, who averages 15.9 points per game, rolled an ankle badly in the first half and did not return. Her status is day-to-day.

Cashmere made just 24.5 percent (13 of 53) of its shots in the loss. The Bulldogs slipped to 12-13.

Brittany Ingham led Cashmere with 10 points.
