Ryan Votaw scored a game-high 21 points as sixth-ranked Toledo raced past University Prep 60-35 on Thursday in a Class 1A boys state quarterfinal game.

Talon Rakoz added 11 points for the Indians (22-3), who build a 30-14 halftime lead and were never challenged in the second half.

The Indians will meet Nooksack Valley in Friday's 5:30 p.m. semifinal.

Votaw made just 5 of 13 shots from the field, but two were three-pointers. He converted nine of 10 shots from the free-throw line.

Votaw also snared seven rebounds as Toledo finished with a 28-24 rebounding advantage.

The Indians converted 21 of 42 shots (50 percent), while the Pumas (16-7) managed to connect on just 16 of 41 (39 percent), including just 7 of 21 in the first half.

Michael Zieve led UP with 10 points and seven rebounds.
