Clay Gebbers led three Brewster players in double-figures with 13 points as the unbeaten Bears sailed past Burbank 71-29 in the first round of the Class 1A boys state tournament Wednesday.

Austin Benson added 11 points and Rocky Gipson 10 for Brewster, which improved to 26-0 overall.

The Bears rolled out to a 19-7 lead after the first quarter, and the Coyotes never got any closer.

Gipson led Brewster's rebounding effort with 12. The Bears outrebounded Burbank 45-30.

The Bears shot 47.4 percent (27 of 57) for the game, including 51.9 percent (14 of 27) in the second half. Burbank made just 22 percent (11 of 50) of its shots.

Josh Taylor led Burbank (16-9) with nine points and six rebounds.
