Bianca Rowland poured in a game-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to power top-ranked King’s to a 55-46 quarterfinal victory over Brewster in the Class 1A girls state tournament Thursday.

Rowland, who posted 13 of her points in the first half, made 10 of 17 shots.

The win sends the Knights, who won the Class 2A championship in 2005 and 2006, into Friday’s 4 p.m. semifinal against either Connell or Chelan.

Sarah Strand chipped in 15 points for King’s (24-3). She also had seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots.

The teams traded leads eight times in the game. King’s took control for good on a layup by Jana Jack early in the second half, then the Knights went on a 14-4 run to increase their advantage.

Megan Brown led Brewster (24-5) with 16 points, while Martha Taylor added 13 points and Kyla Evans 12. Evans had eight rebounds and two blocked shots and Taylor seven rebounds.
