Brianne Ryan scored a game-high 23 points to lead second-ranked Lynden Christian to a 57-40 quarterfinal victory over Toledo in the Class 1A girls state tournament Thursday.

Ryan scored 13 points in the first half as the Lyncs (25-1) pulled out to a 27-18 halftime lead. They put the game away in the third quarter with a 21-11 run.

The Lyncs will meet three-time defending champion Colfax (27-2) in Friday’s 7:30 p.m. semifinal. Colfax is riding a 16-game state win streak, which ties a record the Lyncs set in 1989-93.

Kenzie De Boer added 14 points for the Lyncs.
Ryan pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds and Joani Reimer grabbed 11 as the Lyncs dominated the backboards, 63-42.

Rachel Wallace led Toledo (21-4) with 15 points.
