Kyla Evans poured in a game-high 36 points as fifth-ranked Brewster routed Seattle Academy 62-41 on Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Evans made 13 of 23 shots and 10 of 12 free-throw attempts. She scored 19 points in the first half as the Bears rolled up a 29-16 halftime advantage.

Taylor LaMoreaux added 12 points for Brewster, which improved to 24-4.

Evans pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds as Brewster outrebounded the Cardinals 37-27. Megan Brown added six rebounds.

Makenzie Brandon led SA with 12 points, four rebounds and three steals.

Seattle Academy slipped to 17-8.
