TOURNEYTOWN.COM

Neil Miller scored a game-high 17 points, and St. John-Endicott opened the game with a 17-0 run en route to a 51-39 consolation victory Thursday in the Class 1B boys state tournament.

Miller made 6 of 11 shots, pulled down five rebounds and had two assists as the Eagles improved to 15-13.

The Eagles' 17-0 stretched early into the second quarter, and Odessa never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Warren Miller added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles, and Phillip Luft also had eight boards.

Drake Costlow led Odessa with 11 points, with nine on 3-pointers, and Kendall Fisher pulled in a game-high 13 rebounds.

The Tigers ended their season at 8-17. Odessa's cold start was blamed on poor shooting; the Tigers made just 5 of 24 first-half shots.
