St. John-Endicott

Quezada's 14 points, 13 rebounds leads Tigers

Fredy Quezada led three players in double-figures as Entiat held off St. John-Endicott 58-45 on Friday in the Class 1B boys state tournament.

With the consolation-round victory, the Tigers (19-6) will meet Moses Lake Christian (22-3) at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for fifth and eighth places.

The Tigers, who never trailed in the game, built a 30-25 halftime lead. Quezada scored nine of his points after intermission, when Entiat led by as many as 14.

Jeff Pittsinger and Jacob Anderson each added 12 points for Entiat.

Quezada also pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and had four steals.

Warren Miller scored 11 points and Phillip Luft 10 for the Eagles, who finished their season at 15-14.
