Lummi's 49-35 win

Blackhawks will earn school's 1st hoops trophy

Glen Robertson scored a game-high 20 points to lead Lummi to a 49-35 consolation win over LaCrosse-Washtucna on Friday in the Class 1B boys state tournament.

The win sends Lummi to Saturday's 1:30 p.m. against Tri-Cities Prep for fourth and seventh places. It also guarantees the school its first-ever state basketball trophy.

Robertson had 11 in the first half as the Blackhawks (13-12) pulled out to a 28-13 lead at intermission. Lummi shot 50 percent (10 for 20) in the first half.

Brandon Dennis added 12 points, and Dennis and Robertson each pulled down six rebounds.

Jared Ayers-Stamper led LaCrosse-Washtucna with 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Garret Blauert scored 10 points.

The Tigercats finished their year at 12-17.
